The Havaianas Australia Day Thong Challenge is a national institution and I was privileged to be tasked again with the development of this year’s website.
The website provided event information, showcased image galleries from previous years, allowed users to register and pay online and provided functionality for social networking (eg; Facebook, Twitter, YouTube).
I developed the site using a robust PHP framework that would enable Havaianas to reuse the codebase in future years. I also built a custom CMS so the event organisers could manage and export the online registrations to ease the administration process of working with such record-breaking entries.
