Hivve is an Australian company that creates sustainable buildings powered by clean renewable energy. After building their company website, Hivve approached CJWEB to develop a mobile app dashboard to display the metrics – power created, temperature, CO2 saved – of each building.
The app is deployed in schools. Initially housed within kiosks, students could monitor their energy use and savings of their Hivve classrooms. But as student mobiles and QR codes became ubiquitous, we were able to repackage the kiosk dashboard as a mobile app. Students could then sign into their classroom dashboard using a QR code in each building.
The app is built in AngularJS and connects to multiple data endpoints via a PHP API.
